What a Stage 1 correction does
A single machine stage with a cutting polish removes a very thin layer of clear coat, taking the swirls and light scratches with it and levelling the surface so it reflects light evenly again.

Yes. A Stage 1 correction removes only a tiny amount of clear coat, and we measure and work carefully on thin or repainted panels.
The correction is permanent until new scratches go in. Washing safely, or adding a ceramic coating, keeps it looking that way.
